Redemption Grand Prix #1 is underway and as we wave Lackey goodbye, we're saying hello to all our old friends in the scrolls card pool because this tournament is using the new Unlimited format. Unlimited is currently a "wild west" format of sorts, where EVERY single card ever printed in Redemption is legal for use. (Except one. Sorry Danny.) As such, we've got A LOT of unexplored territory to cover and plenty to rediscover, so hopefully this Redemption Grand Prix will be an opportunity to highlight both the noteworthy and some personal favorites. Starting things off, we're taking a look at the card that was banned simultaneously with the release of Times to Come last year: The Foretelling Angel. In addition to being an incredible speed engine that gets around draw and search counters without being able to be negated, this card grants "cannot be negated" to ALL your Daniel characters on one fairly achievable condition. With 3 very strong Daniel defenses and an already nearly busted Daniel offense coming out in the last set, it is no wonder this card was preemptively banned from Rotation. However, now that Unlimited is here we get to discover the full potential of this card and do so in Round 1 of Redemption Grand Prix #1 against Luke "LukeM" Marshall, who naturally brought an old school Throne of David deck.
