Round 3 of Lackey Grand Prix #23 using a brand new defense with a historically less-than-stellar offense to take advantage of the common goal between them. This week, we're trying to reserve it all with NT Gold and Persians, aiming to max out Sychar triggers on every turn. My opponent for this game is Josh "Kevinthedude" Potratz, who has been working on a Joshua/Greeks deck that seems to be creeping into the upper echelons of the meta. This game also revealed something else about the meta: an apparent shift toward stronger defenses. Certainly will be interesting to see if this trend continues as the season takes off!
