Welcome back to the Chamber of Angels!
After spending a few years in Portland, the Chamber of Angels has finally returned in an all-new form, with all-new content but still holding to the same mission: to help players reach the next level of competitive play!
But for many, you might be asking, what is the Chamber of Angels?
Well, the Chamber of Angels is a new YouTube channel made to help players with strategy, deck-building, and the knowledge you need to take your game to the next level! And the plan is to have both long-form and short-form content discussing various facets of Redemption! My vision is to bridge the gap between content for brand-new players and competitive players. So if you are looking to take that next step to understanding Redemption better, this is the place for you!
Some may be asking, “Haven’t I heard of Chamber of Angels before?”
And that is true! A few years back, I attempted to make Chamber of Angels as a podcast, but the format, editing, and life got in the way. Many things left me unsatisfied with the previous format, which eventually prompted me to go back to the drawing board and completely rework the concept from scratch.
For years, I had frustrations trying to learn new decks, themes, and strategies. Part of the reason why I became known as “the Angel guy” is because I didn’t like devoting so much time to trial and error to learn other decks - it was just easier to stay with what I knew. Over the years, I’ve heard the same thing from newer players that I experienced: not sure where to start, what’s essential for a deck, how to cover the holes in their deck, etc. There is only so much you can get from looking over someone’s decklist, especially if you don't know the plays or strategies involved. So, in 2023, I decided to take my first gander into content creation to help people like me who wanted guidance towards the next level of competitive play, strategy, and deckbuilding. As “the Angel guy,” it only made sense to name the podcast after my deck’s favorite fortress - and the Chamber of Angels was born.
But being overwhelmed by my first attempt to create a podcast, I eventually stopped. The editing was a lot for me, and I felt like my content turned into just interviewing winners and their decks - which is great for understanding how top players approach the game; but it felt as if I had missed what I wanted to build with my content. And 3 years later, I felt a nudge from God to come back, and He gave me the urge again to return to content creation. I knew I needed more structure and a visual medium to help others, which brings us to today and the official launch of the YouTube Channel!
So, what can you expect from the Chamber of Angels?
My content will be a mix of Shorts and long-form content. Shorts will be posted more consistently, and long-form should explain more but be a bit more sporadic.
My Current Shorts segments are:
Throne of Judgement - We take ruling questions before the Throne and explain the judgement given.
Sea of Keywords - We uncover the secrets behind the mechanics and keywords in Redemption
The Celestial Armory - We discover new tools and techs to use in your deck!
Reveal Review - We will take a look at a newly revealed card and its potential within the current game!
And the occasional other types of Shorts, such as set and event announcements.
While the Long-form content will include -
Deck Deep-Dive - We break down a Good theme in Redemption, going over the Core of the deck, how it plays, Defenses to run with it, and more!
The Bottomless Pit - We break down an Evil theme in Redemption, how to pair it with a fitting offense, how to build an effective defense, and more
Meta Contemplations - We discuss what decks, Lost Souls, Dominants, and other things seem relevant in this format.
And more such as interviews with various people within the community and more!

So this is very exciting - but what are your plans long-term?
I plan to become a resource for players, giving insight on new cards, techs to consider, and understanding what to look at when building your deck, as well as what to consider when taking the next step and becoming more competitive. My prayer is that my attempts to help people understand the game better will edify the community and that God can use me and this channel to his glory and honor. From just helping people enjoy this game more, to learning more about Scripture through the game and by extension my content, and just maybe, getting people interested in opening their Bible once again after they asked, “Where is this from?” like I did so many years ago.
